The grounds at the park are filled with historic buildings, a rose garden, and orchards. The groves contain citrus, figs, date palms, olives, and more. There are also a number of shade trees throughout the park which provide visitors with some respite from the sun.

The park is often crowded on weekends, especially during the summer months. It is recommended to visit during the week if possible. The park is a popular place for weddings and other events. Historical Buildings

The 17-acre Historic Sahuaro Ranch Park preserves one of Glendale's oldest and most exceptional ranches, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It features 13 historical buildings, a rose garden, and a barnyard, as well as historic orchards. It also offers tours, activities, and exhibits that keep the history of early settlement alive.

Founded by Illinois businessman William Bartlett in 1885, the farm was used to grow fruit, produce dairy products, and raise livestock. Its buildings, including the main house and a foreman's house, provide a glimpse of Glendale's agricultural past.

Mature citrus trees, a rose garden, and old-fashioned ranch homes add to the ambiance at this park. The area feels lusher than a typical desert park and is the perfect backdrop for picnics. It is easy to access via Valley Metro bus Route 59 or the free neighborhood circulator, the Glendale Urban Shuttle. It's a great place to take kids and even your dog for a walk in nature.
